In this recipe, I’ve utilized a variety of ingredients including cabbage, mushrooms, carrots, garlic, miso paste, ginger, coconut oil, and turmeric.

Cabbage’s Gut-Healing Properties: Cabbage is renowned for its gut-healing properties. Its soluble fibre nourishes beneficial gut bacteria, while its insoluble fibre aids in maintaining digestive regularity. Additionally, cabbage is rich in L-glutamine, a protein building block that supports gut lining repair.

Mushrooms’ Gut-Healing Benefits: Mushrooms have been utilized in medicinal practices for centuries, particularly for gut health. They combat harmful bacteria, thus fostering a healthy microbiome. Moreover, mushrooms serve as effective prebiotics, stimulating the growth of probiotics in the gut.

Carrots’ Gut-Healing Attributes: Carrots contain pectin, a soluble fiber that slows starch and sugar digestion, promoting gut bacteria health and preventing digestive issues like gastric ulcers.

Garlic’s Gut-Healing Qualities: Garlic, a superfood with a long history in medicine, contains inulin, a non-digestible carbohydrate that nourishes beneficial gut bacteria, supporting overall gut function and inhibiting harmful bacteria growth.

Miso Paste’s Gut-Healing Potential: Made from fermented soybeans, miso paste is packed with probiotics that enhance gut health. One probiotic strain found in miso, Aspergillus Oryzae, helps maintain a healthy balance of gut bacteria.

Ginger’s Gut-Healing Effects: Ginger soothes the stomach, aids digestion, and prevents food fermentation in the intestines. Its numerous bioactive compounds possess anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antiemetic properties, supporting digestion and nutrient absorption.

Coconut Oil’s Gut-Healing Properties: Coconut oil aids nutrient absorption and possesses antibacterial properties, helping to restore gut balance.

Turmeric’s Gut-Healing Benefits: Turmeric, long used in ayurvedic medicine for digestive issues, aids stomach lining health, promotes beneficial gut bacteria growth, and reduces bloating and gas during digestion. However, it may negatively impact some individuals’ digestion.
