Some individuals may need a wake-up call from their doctor, informing them of the dire consequences if they continue on their current path (just like it happened to me), and that’s perfectly alright. But for those who are determined to acquire the knowledge and integrate it into their lifestyle seamlessly, allowing it to become second nature, here are the keys to unlock the kingdom:

✅Try cutting those refined carbs and “bad fats” instead of healthy carbs and healthy fats


See, here is where most people go wrong. They look to low-fat diets to help them lose weight and boost fat burning.


But research shows that low refined carb diets can help increase fat loss, reduce hunger, and balance blood sugar levels.


You can consider limiting your refined bread intake, and your added sugar intake from beverages like soda, energy drinks, and ice teas.


Stick to healthy carbs like vegetables, and wholesome fats like walnuts, wild salmon and cacao. You will feel so nourished and cravings for refined carbs and bad fats will disappear.


✅ Move away from processed foods.

The ingredients in packaged goods and snack foods are often heavy on trans fats, added sugar and added salt or sodium; these three things make it very difficult to lose weight.

Instead, add superfoods to your diet and be creative in your kitchen with recipes. Eat more vegetables, whole grains, beans and lentils.

Moving your body can be as easy as a 30-minute daily walk or a yoga session.


Exercise particularly works off belly fat because it reduces circulating levels of insulin —which would otherwise signal the body to hang on to fat.


The amount of exercise you need for weight loss depends on your goals. But, on an average, you should at least get 30-40 minutes of exercise daily.
